  BOAT RAMPS

South Coast Boat Ramps

Batemans Bay East
Located on the south eastern reaches of Batemans Bay, where the Clyde meets the ocean. Well designed and protected ramp which has a deep water level. Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Batemans Bay, North West side of bridge
Short beach ramp which runs straight into the Clyde River. (located just north of the bridge on the western side). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Batemans Bay, South West of bridge
Located on the south western side of the bridge. Plenty of room and good entry points for all kinds of boats. Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Bawley Point
This is a steep and dangerous looking ramp for the inexperienced. Do not use this ramp unless you are familiar with it and comfortable with ocean conditions. Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Bellambi Beach Boat Ramp
Located on the southern end of Bellambi Beach (10min North of Wollongong). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Bendalong - Concrete Ramp
Bendalong has both Sand and Concrete ramps. It is mostly a protected little cove to launch and retrieve your boat, with the exception of dead Low tide which could get the standard family car bogged in the sand. There are some submerged rocks there, and at Dead Low tide on the Concrete ramp, it would be best to tilt your motor until you reach at least 30m from shore. Also there is a rocky headland that has submerged rocks as well. Details & Photo Courtesy: Googieman

Bomaderry
Located just north east of the Nowra bridge along the coast road. (10 mins north of Nowra CBD) Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Gerringong
The ramp is concrete, 2 lanes with plenty of parking nearby. As the ramp is quite steep you launch into deep water so the ramp should be suitable for large boats. The ramp is in a small cove and gives direct access to the ocean. There is reasonable protection to the south and north, but the ramp is exposed to weather coming from the east. Greville's Corner
This is a single lane concrete ramp in a reserve just down the road from Greville's Corner and Palm Beach. The water offshore from the ramp is quite shallow but with care is sufficient for boats up to 5.5m. There is plenty of parking, a water supply and a fish cleaning table. Kiama Boat Ramp
Good ramp with plenty of room. Drops into a good water depth on all tides. (situated near the Kiama blow hole inside Kiama Harbour). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Kioloa Boat Ramp
Located on the southern end of Kioloa beach. Can be a tough assignment in the wrong conditions. (situated 25mins north of Batemans Bay). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Lake Heights - Illawarra
The ramp is part of the facilities owned by the Illawarra Yacht Club which has its licenced club right next to the ramp. I believe the ramp can be used by the public. The ramp is concrete, 4 lanes wide and is suitable for large boats. There are other ramps at Windang and at Berkeley. This ramp is off Northcliffe Drive between Warrawong and Lake Heights. Murramarang, National Park
Located next door to the Murramarang camping resort. Another beach entry which can be difficult to navigate if unfamiliar with it. (located 25mins north of Batemans Bay). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Murrays
Murray's ramp is in the Booderee National Park about 20km from Huskisson and St Georges Basin. There is a $10 entry fee to the Park, but it gives access for 2 days and saves a long trip down Currumbene Ck. and across the Bay if you're wanting to fish the Heads area or go offshore. Access to the single lane, concrete ramp is via a narrow lane but there is a side bay to allow for reversing onto the ramp. The ramp is protected by a small harbour providing shelter except from westerly winds. There is plenty of parking but no fish cleaning tables or water supply. Details & Photo Courtesy: Benzeenees

North Ulladulla Boat Ramp
Located on the northern side of Ulladulla Harbour. Looks easy to navigate and well protected. Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

North West Nowra Boat ramp
Situated on the north western side of the bridge at Nowra. Short steepish ramp that goes into deep water. (located 5mins north of Nowra CBD). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Port Kembla
Just south of the Outer harbour in Port Kembla harbour (10min south of Wollongong). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Sanctuary Point, St Georges Basin
The ramp is found at the bottom of Island Point Rd, Sanctuary Point. It is a relatively shallow ramp which makes launching a bit difficult for the larger boats. Photo Courtesy: Big E

Shellharbour Boat Ramp
Located inside the harbour of Shellharbour township, between north & south Shellharbour beaches (20min south of Wollongong). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

South Ulladulla Boat Ramp
Located on the southern side of Ulladulla Harbour. Well designed with plenty of room and protection. Photo Courtesy: Team Hub

Windang Boat Ramp
Situated on the Windang side of the Lake Illawarra entrance.Eastern side of Windang bridge (15min south of Wollongong). Photo Courtesy: Team Hub.

Woollamia, Huskisson-Jervis Bay
The ramp is on Currumbene Ck. Access via Woollamia Rd, about 1 km out of Huskisson. The ramp is 2km upstream from the bar into Jervis Bay. As there is a 4 kt speed limit all the way, the trip to the bar takes about 15 minutes. The creek is quite shallow - as little as 80cm at low tide. Details & Photo Courtesy: Benzeenees
