
Currarong Amateur Fishing Club is holding
its 12th Annual Tournament over April 21/22
weekend. All are welcome to attend and compete
in a friendly event with the friendliest
fishing club on the south coast. Over $12
000 in prizes from SHIMANO in species prizes
and categories e.g. beach , rock, estuary,
deep-sea , blue-water etc. Entry fees are
$20 senior / $5 junior which includes a bbq
lunch on Sunday. Live music, bistro facilities,
raffles and more!! Entry forms are available
from the Club, some fishing clubs or phone
the Club on 4448 3038 & we will post
you one.Entries will close at 10.00pm Friday
20th April 2007 and a Tournament pre-briefing
will be held at the club house at 7.00pm
Friday night to answer any queries.

TOURNAMENT RULES ENTRY FEE: $20 Per adult
and $5 per junior(16 years and under). Fee
must be paid by 10.00pm
20th Friday April 2007 at Currarong Bowling & Recreation
Club.
TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: The committee of the
Currarong Amateur Fishing Club shall be sole
adjudicators of the tournament and rules. Their
decision shall be final.
FISHING RULES, SIZES & BAG LIMITS: As per
NSW Fisheries size & bag limits. 1 bag
limit per day, gilled & gutted.
POINT SCORE: The point score system shall be
1 point per fish plus 10 points per kilo.
SPECIES: Only the specified species shall be
accepted for weighing. Prizes shall be awarded
for the heaviest of each species.
FISHING TIMES: The tournament shall commence
at 12.00am (midnight) Friday 20th April and
cease at 2.00pm Sunday 22nd April 2007. All
fish must be within the confines of the weigh
in station by 2.00pm on the Sunday to be eligible
for the tournament. NO FISH WILL BE ACCEPTED
INTO THE COMPOUND AFTER THE 2PM DEADLINE.
TOURNAMENT BRIEFING: A tournament briefing
will be held in the Club auditorium at 7.30pm
on Friday 20th 2007. Bistro facilities are
available from 5.30pm.
DISPOSAL OF FISH: unwanted fish can be donated
to the raffle box to be raffled off on Sunday
after the weigh in. All proceeds go towards
the tournament costs. All fish waste to be
taken at least 2km’s to sea and cut open
before dumping.
BOUNDARIES: The boundary limit shall be 33km’s
from the clubhouse. Please observe the Jervis
Bay Marine Park & Dept of Defence restricted
areas.
