LAKEVIEW HOTEL FISHING CLUB RULES & BYLAWS

1. CHANGES TO BYLAWS
[a ] Excepting where there is a change to statutory regulations, [Eg, NSW Fisheries regulations], the Lakeview Hotel Fishing Club By-Laws shall be changed by a majority vote at an Annual General Meeting or specially convened extraordinary meeting. Any proposed changes must be put into writing and notice of intention placed on notice board for a period of not less than 3 weeks prior to AGM.
[b] All matters relating to such by-laws shall be governed by the constitution.

2. UPDATING OF BYLAWS.
The committee shall update the club by-laws following any changes.

3. COMPETITIONS.
[a] Only financial members of Lakeview Hotel Fishing Club shall be eligible to compete in club competitions.
[b] Juniors shall be under 18 years of age.
[c] Sub-Juniors shall be under 13 years of age.
[d] Divisions for fishing shall be Beach/Rock/Estuary, Deep Sea and Freshwater.

4. MONTHLY COMPETITION.
[a] The club shall hold monthly competitions on the last full weekend of each month. No monthly competition shall be canceled due to bad weather. Competition dates however may be changed by a majority vote at a monthly meeting due to clashes with other events or inter-club competitions.
[b] The competition starting time shall be 5.00pm Friday and finish time 2.00pm Sunday Times may be changed by a majority vote at a monthly meeting due to clashes with other events or inter-club competitions.
[c] Entry fees shall be $1.00 for Juniors and $2.00 for seniors, per division.The competitor shall nominate the person(s) fishing on a card then place money and card in the competition box by 5.00pm Friday.
[d] Two-day bag limits apply under NSW State Fisheries Rules and Regulations. Members can weigh in between 3.00pm –4.00pm on Saturday at the Lakeview Hotel and at the agreed time for the weigh in on Sunday.
[e] Legal Lengths, Bag limits and Possession limits will be as those under NSW State Fisheries Rules and Regulations, plus any other eligible species may be weighed in, provided it has attained a length of 30 cms.
[f] Witnessed weights are to be recorded in the weigh-in book together with the applicable division/s fished.

5. WEIGH IN [OTHER]
[a] Members may weigh in fish at the Lakeview Hotel at any time of the year, outside of club and SCFCA competitions.
[b] Any two members may weigh in fish whilst away from the area on unregistered scales and provide a signed record to the weigh master
[c] Any member away from the area may weigh in fish on registered scales and provide a signed record to the weigh master, Including the scale number and witness details LHFC 

6. MONTHLY PRIZES.
[a] Prizes shall be determined at the BBQ immediately following the monthly competition.
[b] Vouchers to the value of $20 shall be awarded to the highest point scorer in each division. The competitors are not required to be at the BBQ to claim the prize.
[c] Vouchers to the value of $10 shall be awarded to the highest point scorer in each division. (Beach/Rock/Estuary, Deep Sea & Freshwater). The competitors are not required to be at the meeting to claim the prize.
[d] Two species shall be selected at random from the catch list and the competitors with the largest of these species shall be awarded wine vouchers. The competitor must be present at the meeting to claim the prize. If the winner is not present the species shall be drawn until won.
[e] Two individual competition entry nominations shall be drawn at random for a $15 wine voucher & 21 schooner tickets. The members must be present at the meeting otherwise they shall be redrawn until won.
[f] Fish Lotto, based on the heaviest of species, shall be randomly drawn from the following list; 
1  Atlantic Salmon      14 Mulloway
2  Bream                  15 Murray Cod
3  Flathead               16 Nannygai
4  Flounder               17 Parrot Fish
5  Freshwater Perch    18 Rock Blackfish
6  Garfish                  19 Salmon
7  Groper                  20 Saltwater Perch
8  Kingfish                21 Snapper
9  Leatherjacket        22 Tailor
10 Luderick               23 Trevally
11 Marlin                  24 Trout
12 Morwong              25 Tuna (Striped/Bluefin/Yellowfin)
13 Mullet                  26 Whiting

All captures for the month, as listed in the weigh-book, shall be eligible. The member must be present at the meeting to claim the prize. In the event of the prize being won, it shall revert to $20 for the following month. In the event of the prize not being won, it shall jackpot by $20 to the following month
[g] The “Best Effort of the the Competition”award shall be decided by majority vote of the committee meeting and a $20 voucher be awarded. Members are required to be at the weigh-in to claim the prize.
[h] Fish of the Month Competition At the weigh-in each month a fish species is selected from the list below. Bream Groper Luderick Mullet Rock Blackfish Tuna Flathead Kingfish Marlin Mulloway Snapper Whiting LHFC. The species selected becomes the “Target”species for the following month.At the following month’s weigh-in the person who weighed the biggest of the selected species throughout the month will receive a $50 cash prize. Once the species has been selected and for a month, it is taken from the pool of 12 species so that no two species are selected twice. The winner of this award does not have to be present during the weigh-in/ BBQ to claim his/her prize.The species that is selected will be placed on the notice board as will the “current”leader throughout the month so all members can see what sized fish it will take to win the $50-00

7. CLUB CHAMPIONS (SECTIONS)
[a] Club champions for each division, as in 3[c], shall be awarded based on total monthly competition points plus points scored in the corresponding SCFCA championship and all club organized outings.
[b] Junior club champions for each division, as in 3[c], shall be awarded based on total monthly competition points plus points scored in the corresponding SCFCA championship, plus points scored for fish weighed-in at any other time during the year.

8. CLUB CHAMPION (OVERALL)
The club champion shall be decided by adding all monthly competition and SCFCA points for all divisions, as in 3[c] and all organized club outings.

9. CLUB CHAMPION (ANNUAL POINT SCORE)
The annual point score champion shall be that member with the highest number of points in monthly and SCFCA competitions, together with points scored at any other time, and for all divisions.

10. BIGGEST OF SPECIES.
The club shall award annual trophies for the biggest of species for each of the following: Bream Groper Luderick Mullet Rock Blackfish Tuna lathead Kingfish Marlin Mulloway Snapper Whiting Best sporting capture – as determined by weigh master & recorder

11. MASTERS BADGE.
The club shall award a Masters Badge to individuals for the capture of all of the following species as an ongoing competition. Bream Kingfish Morwong Salmon Tarwhine Flathead Leatherjacket Mulloway Snapper Trevally Groper Luderick Rock Blackfish Tailor Whiting ? Plus one freshwater species as recognized by the SCFCA.

12 ANGLER’S BAIT&TACKLE BIGGEST FISH OF THE YEAR COMPETITION(Board to be placed on the wall)
Annual competition for the biggest of the following species only. Bream Kingfish Morwong Salmon Tuna Marlin Flathead Leatherjacket Mulloway Snapper Trevally Trout Groper Luderick Rock Blackfish Tailor Whiting Freshwater Perch LHFC Page 4 At the end of the fishing year the person who has the biggest of each species for the year will have their name placed into a barrel. Every 15 minutes a name will be drawn and removed from the barrel. When there is only one name left in the barrel that person will receive the annual award (donated by Dean,s Bait & Tackle) as the winner of the biggest species of the year award.

13 CLUB RECORDS.
[a] Fish submitted for club records are to be gilled,gutted and roed and free from foreign matter.
[b] The weigh master shall maintain a listing of club records and a copy of such shall be maintained in the weigh-in book.
[c] Annual trophies shall be awarded for club records attained.

14. FISH IDENTIFICATION.
Responsibility for fish identification is that of the weigh master. The weigh master holds possession of the club’s copy of the “Australian Guide to Fishes”
