Striped marlin, sailfish and many other predators routinely drive schools of baitfish to the surface, where they can more easily catch them. Find one of these baitballs and you’re in billfish nirvana. But, as Marc Montocchio has observed from underwater, even when you find one there are ways to maximise your success.
